eMail setup should be correct as it is the same I used a few days ago with my local plone 2.5

Error log (Fehlerprotokoll) does not contain any entries

How can I find the problem ?

the setup mentioned above used auth.mail.onlinehome.de

now I tried localhost:25 too and got the same result
  same configuration works fine on another server (Georg Simon - 2008-06-28 03:41 PM)

I have setup another Plone 3.1 on a remote server using Plone-3.1.2-UnifiedInstaller.

There I tried exactly the same SMTP server configuration and succeeded.
